Curriculum Vitae

Personal Statement

Following the completion of my undergraduate experience at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg Florida, I chose to head to tropical South America to get some hands-on field biology experience. I spent six months working as an assistant field biologist at the Yanayacu Biological Station in Cosanga, Ecuador. During the time I spent at the station I worked with biologists from around the globe, studying topics such as natural history of butterflies, predator-prey relationships, nesting behavioral of tropical birds, and diversity studies along geographic gradients. Building on my undergraduate studies in ethnobiology and my experiences in Ecuador, my current interests are broad and include natural history, conservation practices, human-wildlife interactions, and tropical/ sub-tropical ecology.
