Project Involvement
Alex is currently managing an invasive species surveillance project involving networks of camera traps across Broward and Miami Dade counties aimed at monitoring the increasing range of Argentine Black and White Tegus in South Florida. Alex is also a manager of the EDRR (Early Detection and Rapid Response of invasive species) project at the Croc Docs. Alex performs field research involving a project which utilizes radiotelemetry to track the movement of invasive Burmese pythons in the Francis S. Taylor Wildlife Management Area. Alex regularly contributes to several field research projects involving American Alligators and American crocodiles throughout their ranges in South Florida.
