Project Involvement
Jenna currently is the lead biologist managing the trapping and removal of Argentine black and white tegus in populations located in St. Lucie County, Florida; the Everglades Invasive Reptile and Amphibian Monitoring Program which includes surveys spanning management areas throughout South Florida, including in the Everglades National Park; and implements Early Detection and Rapid Response (EDRR) effort throughout Broward and Miami-Dade Counties. She is also involved in field work performing radiotelemetry tracking and application of VHF and GPS units on tegus and pythons, managing trail cameras to monitor invasive species, and long-term population monitoring projects for American crocodiles (Crocodylus acutus) and American alligators (Alligator missippiensis).
